How to donate
The Australian Taxation Office has endorsed OPI as a deductible gift recipient under subdivision 30-BA of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 under the items of 12.1.2 Public Library and 12.1.3 Public Museum.
Donations of $2 or more to Orange Planetarium Incorporated are tax deductible and go entirely towards developing Southern Skies Earth and Space Centre.

Donations can also be made by sponsoring essential equipment for the Southern Skies facility.
Available equipment packages are:
Telescope package - $10,000
Includes a 25cm telescope and all of the associated equipment necessary to provide a superb view of the night skies from the Central West.
Solar telescope package - $3,000
Includes a dedicated solar telescope and its associated equipment necessary to provide a safe and fascinating view of our nearest stellar neighbour, the sun.
Astronomical video camera package - $1,500
Includes a video camera specifically designed for astronomical purposes and used to capture stunning images and footage of the planets, moon and sun.
Astronomical imaging camera package - $3,500
Includes a single shot CCD camera specifically designed to capture images of astronomical objects in all their splendour.
DSLR photographic package - $2,500
Includes a DSLR camera and telescope adaptors that allow imaging through any of the telescopes.

Once Southern Skies Earth and Space Centre is open, all donations of equipment packages will be acknowledged with a plaque on the sponsored piece of equipment.
